Fuel Services & Tank Upgrades

Reliable, efficient equipment starts with clean diesel fuel.

Guardian Fuel Solutions
From the fuel source to the point of delivery, Guardian Reliability Services provides complete end-to-end solutions to keep your diesel clean, your systems efficient, and your operation running without interruption.

  • Suction Sweep & Fuel Polishing Services – Our mobile and fixed filtration systems remove water, sludge, microbial growth, and particulate from your diesel tanks—restoring fuel to meet or exceed OEM cleanliness standards. By targeting contamination at the source, we protect injectors, pumps, and aftertreatment systems from costly failures.
  • Tank Upgrades – Extend the life and performance of your fuel storage assets with Guardian-engineered upgrades. We install desiccant breathers, sealed fill ports, level monitoring, quick-connect sampling points, and corrosion-resistant internals. Optional kidney-loop filtration systems with real-time condition monitoring continuously recirculate and clean stored fuel, tracking particulate and water levels so issues can be addressed before they impact your operation.
  • Delivery Fuel Systems – Whether fueling critical equipment on-site or supplying multiple tanks across your facility, we design and install complete delivery systems—including pumps, high-efficiency filtration, meters, and hose reels—for clean, efficient, and traceable fuel transfer from source to machine.
  • Tank Maintenance Programs – Preventative care is the key to fuel reliability. Our scheduled maintenance plans include inspections, sampling, breather replacement, condition monitoring review, and polishing as needed—ensuring your fuel meets OEM cleanliness targets year-round while minimizing downtime and repair costs.

Clean fuel starts at the source—and with Guardian, it stays that way.

The Guardian Approach

Guardian’s Suction Sweep & Fuel Polishing Service restores diesel fuel quality by removing water, sediment, and particulate contamination directly from your storage tank. Using advanced multi-stage filtration and precision fuel conditioning, we circulate and clean the fuel until it meets optimal cleanliness standards—ensuring it’s ready for reliable use and protecting your equipment from costly downtime.

Guardian Desiccant Breather Systems provide superior protection for your equipment and fluid reservoirs by eliminating the moisture and airborne contaminants that OEM breather systems fail to stop. While standard OEM breathers allow humidity and dust to enter unchecked, our systems feature 1-micron particulate filtration for ultra-fine protection and a high-capacity desiccant to absorb large volumes of water vapor. This prevents fluid degradation, extends equipment life, and reduces unplanned maintenance—delivering the reliable defense your tanks and reservoirs should have from day one.

As a final line of defense, the Guardian Fuel Delivery System (GFDS) ensures that every drop of fuel leaving your tank is clean, dry, and ready for use in your critical assets. This cost-effective, post-pump filtration unit combines Donaldson high-efficiency particulate filtration with a dedicated water trap filter to remove ultra-fine contaminants and free water before fueling. Engineered for industrial reliability, the GFDS protects injectors, pumps, and aftertreatment systems—delivering cleaner fuel, reduced downtime, and longer equipment life.

Guardian Permanent Auxiliary Kidney Loop Systems for bulk diesel tanks provide continuous fuel conditioning to keep stored fuel clean, dry, and ready for use. Operating independently of fueling activity, these systems circulate fuel through high-capacity particulate and water-absorbing elements, eliminating injector-damaging solids, free water, and microbial byproducts. Integrated ISO cleanliness monitoring technology delivers real-time fuel quality readings, proving your diesel meets or exceeds OEM cleanliness targets before it ever reaches your equipment. This “always-on” protection extends component life, reduces fuel-related failures, and ensures maximum operational reliability.

Meeting OEM standards for diesel fuel cleanliness is critical to the performance and longevity of today’s high-efficiency engines. Modern diesel engines require fuel to meet an ISO Cleanliness Code of 14/13/11, while high-pressure common rail injector OEMs demand an even stricter standard of 12/9/6.

Unfortunately, fuel delivered from the pump falls far short of these requirements, introducing contaminants that pose a serious threat to your equipment. Although engine manufacturers have responded by using finer filtration, these filters are expensive, have limited holding capacity, and often plug prematurely—leading to unexpected downtime.

Rather than gambling with your uptime and maintenance costs, Guardian offers a proactive solution. Our fuel cleanliness systems are designed to consistently exceed OEM standards, delivering cleaner fuel that translates to better performance, longer component life, and increased productivity across your business.
